About the Authors

Doug Hewitt is the author of The Practical Guide to Weekend Parenting.
Divorced with three children in 1993, he soon discovered how tough
parenting could really be, and the notes based on his weekends with the
kids eventually became his first book.

An engineer by day, Doug is a frequent speaker on parenting. In 2005,
he married his high school friend, Robin Peura, who
came with a whole new set of challenges: two adult children
and 3 grandkids.

While Doug handles the creative aspect of authoring, Robin Hewitt
coordinates the behind-the-scenes tasks of research and marketing for
each writing project. She compiles the Fun Facts, Asides, Tips, and other
features that make the Practical Guide Series unique.

Robin considers finding Doug after a 29 year search and being a
grandparent the greatest gifts of her life.
